Lycee Rise
Lycee Rise is a Japanese Singer/Song writer from South-West of Japan,Fukuoka.
Lycee has since been trained in opera, and classical music. She began training vocally and piano at age four and She began writing songs at 16.
At the age of 21 She move to the UK, and She started playing her original songs at local open mics in London, where she received immediate attention for her vocal and writing ability; shortly after, she began giving full length shows.
福岡市出身
リセは仏語のLycée(学校)が語源の本名。ローマ字の綴りがRiseであるため英語圏ではライズ(rάɪz)と呼ばれることも多いためステージネームとした。
幼い頃からクラシック音楽に親しみ、高校時代は音楽科で声楽を専攻しながらも、自らロックバンドを結成し、地元福岡のライブハウスにて活動。
大阪音楽大学ではJazz/Popular学科でボーカルを学び、在学中、ゴスペルグループAngelsに参加し老舗ライブハウスRoyal Horseにてワンマンライブを行った。
卒業後、単身渡英し、Londonにて音楽活動を開始。
Vocaltech and Guiter institute Londonにてボーカル、作曲などを学び、 LondonのパブやShowcaseに出演しながら、シンガーゾングライターとして活動を続ける。
帰国後2008年よりリセライズとして東京でのLive活動をスタート。
音楽療法に関心をもち、心理学を学ぶために早稲田大学へ編入。一時活動を休止したのち、卒業後の2019年より活動再開を果たす。
